Healesville Community Labyrinth Grant Announcement!!
Ben Hardman MP has announced that the Healesville Community Labyrinth Project has been successful with a $100,000 State Government Grant.

We're Back On Track

The project has experienced a set back in 2009, as the community has had a difficult six months dealing with the impacts of the Black Saturday bushfires that hit the region on February 7th, 2009. The community has lost many friends and homes and are now slowly picking up the pieces from such a traumatic experience.

Following a recent survey we have received a resounding Yes! to go ahead with the project, and feedback was clear that our community needs such a healing place now, more than ever.

Arts Reference Group

As we move towards construction the Arts Reference Group are planning the artistic mosaics and sculptures for the garden. All artists are welcome to participate.

The Healesville Community Labyrinth is a new major recreational development designed by international landscape architect, Jon Coe (www.joncoedesign.com). Construction of the labyrinth project will commence in 2009.

The labyrinth site is located at Railway Park, next to the Healesville Railway Station. The popular Trolley Rides at the station currently attracts over 9,000 visitors per year. The labyrinth hopes to build on this and other tourist attractions, as a unique cultural icon for the region and its communities.
